“Hand Stitch Your Menstrual Pad” workshop

On July 27, 2026, ABCD conducted a “Hand Stitch Your Menstrual Pad” workshop with 18 incredible young women (ages 18–24) from Bhashantek!
These energetic changemakers are currently receiving training at Life Project 4 Youth to enter the workforce—and we believe that period preparedness is just as important as job preparedness!
The room was buzzing with curiosity, laughter, and serious note-taking. We shared the process of menstruation, pain-management, self-care practices, hygiene management at the workplace, how to quickly create environmentally free reusable pads and pouches. By the end, participants walked away with their own handmade, eco-friendly pad and pouches—reducing reliance on single-use menstrual products and normalizing sustainable menstrual care.
A huge thank you to these wonderful women for their enthusiasm, and to Life Project 4 Youth for partnering with us. We can’t wait to host more workshops like this—because every girl deserves access, awareness, and the freedom to bleed with dignity.
