ABCD at BREATHE Coalition Policy Review Workshop 2026

We are pleased to share that Ms. Alif Aziz, Director of Monitoring and Research, Action for Balance on Climate and Dignity-ABCD participated in the BREATHE Coalition Policy Review Workshop 2026, held on 25 August 2026 at Global Platform Bangladesh, Gulshan-1, Dhaka.

The workshop brought together representatives from BREATHE Coalition member organizations to review Bangladesh’s existing clean air laws, policies, rules, and guidelines, with a focus on identifying key gaps in:

1.Air quality standards and monitoring
2.Pollution control and enforcement
3.Environmental and health justice
4.Governance and policy implementation
5.Youth participation in clean air advocacy

Through collaborative discussions and policy analysis, participants developed and prioritized recommendations that will contribute to the BREATHE Coalition’s Youth Clean Air Demand Chart and upcoming policy brief for engagement with relevant policymakers.

ABCD is proud to contribute to collective efforts for cleaner air, stronger environmental governance, and a healthier and more just Bangladesh.

The workshop was organized by Shurjodoy Youth Society, with support from ActionAid Bangladesh, The Earth, and Youth for CARE.
